Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions about our locksmith services? You are not alone. Here are answers to the things our customers in Beachwood and Northeast Ohio ask us most often. If your question is not listed here, give us a call at (440) 298-4800.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Beachwood, Cleveland, Bedford, Mentor, Solon, Richmond Heights, and surrounding communities throughout Cuyahoga County and Lake County. Our mobile locksmiths cover a wide area across Northeast Ohio.
Are you really available 24 hours a day?
Yes. We answer the phone and dispatch technicians around the clock — nights, weekends, and holidays included. When we say 24/7, we mean it.
How fast can a locksmith get to me?
Our average response time is 15-25 minutes, depending on your location and traffic conditions. We dispatch the nearest available technician to keep wait times as short as possible.
Are your locksmiths licensed and insured?
Every technician on our team is fully licensed, insured, and background-checked. We take your security seriously, and that starts with the people we hire.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, and most digital payment methods. Payment is collected after the work is completed to your satisfaction.
How much does a locksmith cost?
It depends on the service. A basic lockout is the most affordable, while car key programming and high security lock installations are at the higher end. We always provide a clear quote before starting any work — no hidden fees.
Is there an extra charge for nights or weekends?
Our rates stay competitive around the clock. Some after-hours calls may include a small service fee, but we disclose this before we start. You’ll always know the price upfront.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes. Call (440) 298-4800 and describe what you need. We’ll give you an estimate over the phone. For more complex jobs, our technician will assess the situation on-site and quote a price before any work begins.
What should I do if I'm locked out of my house?
First, check if any other doors or windows are unlocked safely. If not, call us at (440) 298-4800. We’ll send a technician to let you in using professional, non-destructive tools. Don’t try to force a window or door — that can cause expensive damage.
I locked my keys in my car. Can you help?
Absolutely. Car lockouts are one of our most common calls. We can unlock any make and model without damaging the vehicle. Just tell us where you are and we’ll be there fast.
Will you damage my lock or door to get me in?
No. We use professional lockout tools designed for non-destructive entry. In the vast majority of cases, your lock and door will be completely undamaged.
Can you make a car key without the original?
Yes. Even if you’ve lost every key to your vehicle, we can originate a new one by reading the lock or using the VIN. We’ll cut and program the new key right at your location.
What's the difference between rekeying and changing a lock?
Rekeying changes the internal pins of your existing lock so the old key no longer works. The lock body stays in place. Changing a lock means removing the entire lock hardware and installing something new. Rekeying is cheaper and works great when the lock is in good condition.
Should I rekey my locks when I move into a new home?
We strongly recommend it. You don’t know how many copies of the old key are floating around. Previous owners, their friends, pet sitters, house cleaners — any of them could still have a key. Rekeying is quick, affordable, and gives you peace of mind.
Do you install smart locks?
Yes. We install and service smart locks from brands like Schlage, Yale, Kwikset, and August. We can help you choose the right smart lock for your needs and set it up properly.
What are high security locks and do I need them?
High security locks from brands like Medeco and Mul-T-Lock resist picking, bumping, and drilling — the techniques burglars commonly use. They also come with restricted key blanks so nobody can copy your key without authorization. They’re a smart investment for anyone who wants stronger protection.
My child is locked inside the car. What should I do?
Call us immediately at (440) 298-4800 and let us know the situation. We treat these as absolute top-priority emergencies. If the child is in any distress or the weather is extreme, call 911 as well.
Someone tried to break into my home. Can you help tonight?
Yes. We provide emergency lock changes and repairs around the clock. After a break-in attempt, securing your home immediately is critical. Our vans carry replacement locks so we can fix or replace compromised hardware on the same visit.
